An Integrated Farm, A complete Ecosystem
An integrated farm between Bulawayo and Gweru — built on dry-country discipline, six divisions, one system.
There is a particular kind of discipline that comes with farming in the Midlands. The rain arrives late, leaves early, and keeps its own counsel in between. You learn quickly that you cannot rely on abundance you have to build systems that make every litre of water, every square metre of soil, and every hour of labour count twice.
Vela.Rise Agro is being built with that discipline as its foundation. . We have six divisions: aquaculture, field crops, horticulture, livestock, poultry, and agro-processing, each one feeding the others so that nothing that passes through this farm is wasted.
We are situated between Bulawayo and Gweru, in Midlands Province — cattle country, dry-season country, hard-work country. It suits us.

Built to Last. Built for the Land.
Our four sustainability pillars are not corporate commitments — they are operational necessities. At Vela Rise, every input and output is tracked, recycled, and put back into the farm system.
Water Reuse
Closed-Loop Irrigation
Pond water, enriched by fish waste, is channelled directly to our crop fields as liquid fertiliser. Zero discharge. Maximum efficiency.
Composting
Soil Health Programme
Livestock manure, crop residue, and poultry litter are composted on-site to produce rich organic matter. Our soil improves every season.
Solar Energy
Off-Grid Operations
A 45kW rooftop solar array powers our aeration systems, cold storage, and processing facilities. Energy independence from day one.
Local Employment
Community First
80+ permanent jobs, with preference for Bulawayo–Gweru area residents. Training programmes, housing support, and skills transfer at every level.
